FaBcap Programs

Starting and scaling a food, beverage, ingredients, packaging, or equipment manufacturing business requires know-how, production capacity and capitalization. Our FaBcap programs and resource connections are pulled together to provide direction and assistance as you strive to grow your business. Networking and learning will be the key ingredients to your success. Take the time to turn out. Tap the cap.

WHAT IS FaBcap?

FaBcap is our business and finance program designed to build the capacity and capitalization of our growing food and beverage companies, positioning them for success as a sustainable food or beverage business, beginning with our Starter and Scaler seminars and ending with our Accelerator.

We select ten growing companies to participate in the one-year accelerator and anticipate these companies will be on the front edge of market demands.

STARTER

So you think you'd like to start a food and beverage manufacturing business? Do you have a product or packaging idea, or a recipe that your friends and family rave over? Perhaps you've given it a shot and didn't get as far as you would have liked.

Our FaBcap_starter will take you through what it'll take to start and grow a food maker business, from operational and financial expectations, to food safety regulations, to determining if your product will "cut the mustard," to how to produce your products. At the end of this four-hour program, you should have a good sense of what it's going to take to start your business and tap the resources available to you.

You've had your food maker business going for awhile, selling at farmers markets, co-ops, and online. Now you'd like to know what it will take to move from a certified shared-use kitchen to a co-packer or even your own facility.

At this four-hour program, you'll be introduced to capacity-building business and financial models and outlets that can support a scaling food or beverage manufacturing business. By the end of this program, you should have a good sense of what it's going to take to scale your business and how to tap the resources available to you.
