Operated by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, this site is a Wisconsin-centered employment exchange, linking employers in all parts of the state and in communities that border Wisconsin with anyone looking for a job.The Wisconsin Job Center system delivers services through three area workforce investment/development boards located in the Milwaukee Region.
MILWAUKEE AREA WORKFORCE INVESTMENT BOARD (MAWIB)
The role of the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board is that of a coordinating, planning and collaborating entity resulting in a workforce system that is flexible, seamless and responsive to the dual needs of job seekers and employers. The board is committed to supporting Milwaukee county residents in their search for economic self-sufficiency, and supporting local businesses by collaborating with them to create a talent pipeline for a knowledge-based economy.
WOW WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD
The WOW Workforce Development Board works in collaboration with the Waukesha, Ozaukee and Washington County local elected officials, economic development corporations, businesses and the community to address macroeconomic workforce issues. The Board is committed to finding solutions to local workforce needs through long-term planning and timely responses to the changing economy
