We're inspiring the next generation of talent at our Career Discovery on April 24. Join us for a high school student experience to discover career futures with those who feed and quench our own and the world better. Together.

Each year's Farm-Factory-Fork is unique to keep students, schools, and employers coming back.

In its fourth year, FaB's annual Farm-Factory-Fork Career Discovery offers high school students an impression-making, career-based learning experience (CBLE) with Wisconsin's food and beverage companies.

Students (and their chaperones) will walk away with personal introductions to (and the stories behind):
  • Some of Wisconsin's food and beverage company CEOs in a special panel discussion followed by student Q&A
  • The industry's professionals and skilled talent, and their careers, through discovery activities with each participating company
  • How companies are creating products, processes, services, and partnerships to feed and quench our own and the world better, together
  • The process of product development in an ideation session for students facilitated by FaB's College Collective
  • The academic programs and training available to those pursuing a career in the food and beverage industry
Employers and their talent attending will walk away with personal introductions to students and Wisconsin high schools interested and promoting careers in food and beverage.

All participating will be able to stay connected afterwards through the state's Inspire platform designed specifically for students, companies, and schools to interact.

Each year's Farm-Factory-Fork is unique to keep students, schools, and employers coming back. In fact, 100% of 2017 participating companies and schools said they would do it again.

"It was an amazing event unlike any others that our students have had the opportunity to participate in. It was educational and inspirational to the students, and truly opened their eyes to many possibilities in the food industry."

8:30 am - 9:30 am
Enter Bergstrom Hall from the southwest end of the parking lot. Follow signs to pick up your breakfast and grab a seat. As soon as you're seated, enjoy your breakfast and beverage. Students, chaperones, exhibitors, and CEO panelists are to be seated by 9:25 am for a prompt 9:30 program start.

9:30 am - 11:00 am
We're forming a special CEO Panel of Wisconsin's food and beverage companies to our Kick-Start Breakfast. They'll each share their company and personal food stories. To get the panel started, we've asked the CEO to answer "What's it like to run a company that's making new and better products?" and "Why and how are you partnering with schools and non-profits?"

Students, chaperones, and our exhibiting professional and skilled talent will be seated theater-style to take-in our CEO Panel. We've built in time to digest the panel's comments with those sitting around you. Then it's time for student Q&A.

Our Kick-Start will include a hot breakfast made by Mount Mary's culinary team using donated Wisconsin-made food and beverage products. Companies interested in donating product should email Shelley Jurewicz at

11:00 am - 1:30 pm
Students cruise the galleria of food and beverage industry employers, stopping at each to hear the exhibitors' food stories and engage in their discovery activity to demonstrate how their company, products, processes are creating food and beverage that feeds and quenches our own and the world better. And yes, students can anticipate many tasty bites along the way.

Exhibitor discovery activities should engage students in a hands-on demonstration to illustrate how your company's products, services, or processing features are creating food and beverage that feeds and quenches our own and the world better. Exhibitor representatives should come prepared to share their personal food stories - the journey that got you to your current position.

Use our Company Discovery Activity Worksheet (coming next week) to facilitate your activity brainstorm.

11:00 am - 1:30 pm
Within the galleria, students will also meet the colleges and universities offering food and beverage industry-related programs for advanced education and training. Students can visit each college and jump into a product ideation station hosted by FaB's College Collective
