Specialty retailer Fresh Thyme Farmers Market has set the opening date for its second Wisconsin store.
The Illinois-based grocery store chain, which sells organic produce and other health-conscious food products, said Thursday that it will open its Kenosha location at 7100 Green Bay Road on Jan. 25 at 7 a.m. It's the second store in the state for the retailer, which opened its first store in Milwaukee at The North End development (see slideshow).
The first 250 shoppers in line on Wednesday morning in Kenosha will receive a free bag of groceries.
Downers Grove, Ill.-based Fresh Thyme has 48 stores in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin. It’s planning to have 70 total stores by the end of 2017. Stores are also in the works for Menomonee Falls, Green Bay, Greenfield and Brookfield.
