College Collective
 

OUR ROLE
We're a collective of colleges and training organizations responding to the education and training needs of the food and beverage manufacturing industry. As a collective of academic, training and workforce development partners and assets, and working with the FaB Talent Committee, our role is to help align and more strategically connect employer needs with workforce and talent development and attraction solutions. Members of the Collective gain a forum for direct industry contact and concerted efforts to develop food manufacturing career pathways that will result in pipeline of needed talent.
 
 
2018 COLLECTIVE INVOLVEMENT ON THESE FaB STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
Collective members will participate as an exhibitor at the FFF.

Embed and promote the FaB MakerSafe Food Safety Training Certificate beginning with a pilot class on March 29
After the pilot, Collective members will embed the online certificate into their related programs.

Share tenancy in The Future Food Center and its College Collective Suite 
Collective members will share tenancy of a shared collective suite & class rooms (~5,000 square feet) at The Future Food Center, giving you direct access to the on-site QC laboratory, pilot R&D processing center, and grocer for use in your programs, and the food and beverage companies locating at The Future Food Center.
 
Participate in the identification, development and promotion of Food and Beverage manufacturing career pathways
 
 
COLLECTIVE COMPOSITE
 
The FaB College Collective will be made up of a maximum of two representatives from the following institutions and organizations in Wisconsin. A chair of the Collective will be selected to serve a dual leadership role and also serve as a co-chair to the FaB Talent Committee.
  • Colleges and universities in Wisconsin with food and beverage manufacturing focused or related programming
  • Participating FFF high schools
  • Others to be determined
If you’re a technical college, college, or university that is offering programming to support the development of food and beverage manufacturing talent, your institution is encouraged to participate.

Tuesday, February 13

A joint meeting with the FaB Talent Committee. We will schedule five minutes each for Mount Mary, Concordia, Lakeland, and any others up to a total of 25 minutes on your new food industry programs. The remainder of the time will be focused on planning for our FFF Career Discovery.
