MakerSafe Survey
Take our five minute, five question survey. Survey open from October 29 to November 30.
Please express your support for FaB’s efforts to create and offer a MakerSafe basic food safety training program. Responding to the FaB Talent Needs Assessment Survey, we’re leading a partnership with the Wisconsin State Technical College, Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, and Wisconsin Association of Food Protection to offer a one-day food safety training certificate to be made available online and onsite at $125. We'll also offer a 75-minute annual online refresher for $75 per year for each employee for compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA).

Our proceeding with this project requires we document support for the program. Please take our quick survey. Thank you.

The bottom line is changing when it comes to food safety training. The MakerSafe certificates offer an affordable, cost saving and recognized option for documented annual food safety training. Please consider the following before taking the survey – thank you!

Consider the FSMA requirements:
  • All employees, from the warehouse to the plant floor, from the front offices to the C-suite, will need to document annually that they have received food safety training.

  • All new and temporary production employees must have documented food safety training before starting.

Consider the training savings:
  • What are you currently spending? Consider staff time, employee time, materials, and external and/or internal trainers.

  • Could convenient, recognized, certified online or onsite certificates from $75 - $125 annually per employee offer you savings?

Consider the talent reality:
  • The talent base is shrinking with unemployment at all-time lows and a demographic shift, leaving a historical talent void and loss of intellectual capital with Boomers retiring. To attract and develop a talent pool is an industry priority.

  • The MakerSafe certificate series can serve as an entry-level industry and academically recognized career/employment pathway into food and beverage manufacturing, where currently no entry level programs exist.
