The Warehouse Lead is responsible for scheduling inbound and/or outbound shipping and receiving dock appointments which will most efficiently coincide with finished goods availability, preparing orders for shipping, receiving incoming product, and coordinating activities of warehouse personnel.Assign job duties and coordinate activity of warehouse personnel.Coordinate shipping and receiving dock appointments with finished goods and bulk availability in the absence of the Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.Maintain warehouse in orderly and organized manner.Coordinate trailer jockey activities.Set up loads for shipping and load on to trucks, making sure orders are correctly completed and stock properly rotated.Complete all required shipping/receiving paperwork.Receive/unload incoming product and place in finished goods and bulk warehouses.

Required Experience

  • Experience working in a warehouse setting with experience in a progressively responsible role preferred.
  • Ability to work off-shift hours and additional hours as needed.
  • Ability to operate a fork-lift.
  • Requires a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective problem solving and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to deal with short lead times and changing customer needs.
  • Excellent knowledge of all warehouse, shipping and receiving operations to help maximize efficiencies.
  • Excellent knowledge of the supply chain process to include the chain between bulk/resale product, production, shipping, and the end user.
