What You Do

  • Design, document, develop, enhance, and support all components of BI reports, analysis, dashboards, data visualizations, and insights using ThoughtSpot and SAP BI tools in conjunction with SAP HANA data sources such as S/4HANA and HANA Enterprise, other SAP data sources such as SAP SCM and SAP BPC, and non-SAP data sources as defined by business requirements.
  • Create queries and data views to support reporting requirements such as SQL, ABAP CDS views, BEx queries, universes, etc.
  • Perform unit and system testing of new development and modifications.
  • Additionally, provide training and support to all business end users ensuring adoption of the Data & Analytics software.
  • Participate in the definition of business requirments by meeting with Application Developers and Business Users to ensure their reporting needs will be or are being met.
  • Participate in discussions with Application Developers to ensure the appropriate data is being extracted from SAP or other non-SAP systems to be utilized in the Enterprise Data & Analytics platform.
  • Effectively researches troubleshooting and provides system improvement opportunities using the appropriate software’s Customer Support Portal.
  • Participates in testing of Data & Analytics systems during IT Disaster Recovery testing. Supports Enterprise Application system upgrades and support package applications as well as any new product implementations from Data & Analytics perspective.
  • Perform the preparation and verification of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) between SAP & other Non-SAP systems using Matillion and Snowflake system solutions.
  • Work with other members of the BI Team, Database Team, and IT Technical Team to ensure proposed Data & Analytics solutions are technically sound and will conform to the existing technical landscape and corporate security policies.
  • Write and maintain functional and technical/system documentation for all development in the Data & Analytics environment.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical specifications for the creation and maintenance of SAP BW InfoObjects, DataStore Objects (DSOs), InfoCubes, Remote Cubes, MultiProviders, DataSources, User Exits, InfoSources, Update Rules, Transfer Rules, Data Transfer Processes (DTPs), Communication Structures, InfoPackages, and Process Chains where appropriate in both the SAP BW, SAP BPC, and SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems.
  • Perform the data analysis and modeling for new data targets using the Data & Analytics platform methodologies.
  • Perform the required master data and transaction data cleansing and formulate processes for ongoing data integrity verification to ensure data quality.
  • Partner and collaborate with the Master Data Governance team on required processes needed to ensure ongoing data integrity with source systems connected to the Enterprise Data & Analytics environment.
  • Stays abreast of the latest technological and strategic developments in the master data and Data & Analytics arena.
  • Responsible for responding to all off-hour calls regarding Data & Analytics issues in a prompt and reasonable timeframe.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required
  • 3 – 5 years relevant SAP and/or BI experience with at least 2 years of developer experience and 2 years of BI experience
  • Required competency in complete lifecycle of SAP BI Suite (Business Objects) and modern Data & Analytics platform cloud-based environments such as Matillion, Snowflake, and ThoughtSpot.
  • Required ability to gather and analyze user requirements to determine system configuration and customization needed as well as the mastered ability to perform required Data & Analytics configuration and custom development.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain functional and technical/system documentation.
  • Required ability to prioritize assignments and multi-task as assigned by the Manager – Business Intelligence.
  • Required strong interpersonal, customer service, and project management skills related to Data & Analytics initiatives.
  • Includes strong communication skills (written and oral) and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment.
  • Preferred experience with SAP HANA data sources, SAP non-HANA data sources, and non-SAP data sources including query and view development.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA CDS Views, Oracle databases, and writing complex queries preferred.
  • Preferred ability to perform business data modeling and analysis as well as a thorough understanding of relational data structures, OLAP concepts, and/or universes.
  • Preferred experience designing, creating, and maintaining custom InfoObjects, DSOs, InfoCubes, Remote Cubes, MultiProviders, DataSources, User Exits, InfoSources, Update Rules, Transfer Rules, DTPs, Communication Structures, InfoPackages, and Process ChainsPreferred understanding of a multi-tier system landscape and the process for moving new developments and changes through the landscape.
  • Preferred experience with Business Explorer Analyzer (BEx) queries and Web Reporting as well as with creating calculated and restricted key figures.
  • Preferred experience with key SAP applications with a solid understanding of NetWeaver architecture and SAP S/4HANAPreferred Experience with SAP Optimized (Embedded) BPC, and SAP SCM (APO)
