Innovating to feed our own and the world, better. We are at an interesting time for the industry, with increasing demands for cleaner, closer, safer, bolder, better food and beverage, while the world’s food production will need to more than double to feed an estimated world population of 9.7B by 2050.

Innovation is top of mind with a robust entrepreneurial scene responding to market tastes and preferences. It’s top of mind of our existing businesses, reinventing products to meet the evolving market. And innovation is a requirement if we are to feed our own and the world sustainably.

"I thought the panel was great.  The videos were a great addition to announcing the panelists arriving on stage - it made me feel as if I knew each gentleman before they approached their seat.

I was surprised at the amount of potential Wisconsin has in the Food and Beverage industry, beyond dairy.  I believe that programs like Growing Power, exciting and informing youth at a very young age, will help to fill the need our state has...from Farmer to Fork and everything in between.

I am very proud to be part of a company who shows awareness for efforts like Feeding America and Growing Power, while looking to a brighter future with FaB (Wisconsin).”

—Leslie Davis, Applications Coordinator at Butter Buds, Inc.

3:00 - 4:00 pm - Networking

Nearly 300 turned out to network in advance of the main program. Attendees enjoyed complimentary brews by MillerCoors and wine by Cedar Creek Winery, along with General Mills Gardetto’s original snack mix and an assortment of hot appetizers by Sendik’s, as they toured and learn more about Feeding America.

In the background, press headlines rolled featuring our panelists and members in a 2015 year in review of our industry.

FaB Made in Wisconsin Samplers were eyed by attendees and more raffle tickets were sold.  The Samplers were valued at $250 each with 25 Wisconsin makers generously donating 40 products – thank you!
