The business and personal challenges of today can be daunting. Drawing from real-world experience, our keynote speakers will educate, motivate and inspire us to look at things from a different perspective. With contagious enthusiasm our speakers will energize and entertain us while helping us learn and grow.

"The Champion’s Code: Building Relationships Through Life Lessons of Integrity and Accountability from the Sports World to the Business World”
Ross Bernstein is a best-selling author of nearly 50 sports books.  He’s an award-winning, hall of fame, peak-performance business speaker who’s keynoted conferences for Fortune 500 companies on five continents and has been featured on thousands of television and radio programs including: CNN, “CBS-This-Morning,” ESPN, and Fox News, as well as in the Wall Street Journal, NewYork Times and USA Today.
Ross' program is based on a series of books he wrote in which he was able to interview more than 500 professional athletes and coaches that all had one thing in common — they were all members of championship teams. In his research he concluded that the same metrics and characteristics that were common among champions in sports, were also common in peak performers in business. As he learned, champions have a very unique DNA — and his mission at the MWFPA Convention is to get us thinking differently about what it’s going to take to raise our game to the next level.

"Trend Versus Cycle: Making Profits in Agriculture"
Good producers and companies deal well with the changes in the market. The difficulty comes from knowing which changes to respond to and when. What is changing in agriculture today? And, what should a good producer or operator do about it?
Currency exchange rates and biofuels impacts have cycled against agriculture. There are some very important things to understand about their impacts. Michael’s presentation to the MWFPA Convention will talk about real choices that make a big difference to the producers and their input suppliers.
Michael Swanson, Ph.D., Wells Fargo’s Chief Agricultural Economist, develops credit and risk strategies for agricultural companies, and performs macroeconomic and international analysis on agricultural production and agribusiness. He has extensive experience analyzing the impact of energy on agriculture. Michael joined Wells Fargo in 2000 as a senior economist.

“Finding Control in the Chaos”
Lt. Col. Janis Nark USAR (Ret.) will take you on the journey of her life, from her inauspicious start in a Detroit suburb to private boarding schools in Europe. Actress, Registered Nurse, Ski Instructor, Fashion Designer, Entrepreneur, Professional Speaker; Janis is all of these. Surviving and excelling in six different professions on three different continents and through two wars, Janice knows about stress and change in today’s chaotic world. She has assisted individuals, corporations and associations in dealing with these issues.
Janis is retired from 26 years on Active and Reserve Duty in the US Army Nurse Corps and is a veteran of both Vietnam and Desert Shield ; Desert Storm. She has some stories to tell, insight, inspiration and feelings to share.  Come on along, it's quite a trip.

Tim Cavanagh has been laughed at for over twenty years!  They've  laughed at him at colleges, they’ve laughed at him at business meetings, they’ve laughed at him at fundraisers, association dinners, awards banquets, and they’ve laughed at him at some of the top comedy clubs and concert venues across the country. Why are all of these people laughing at Tim Cavanagh?  It’s simple.  He’s truly funny!
Tim’s national credits include ABC-TV, Comedy Central, Showtime, and WGN America.  He can be heard regularly on the nationally syndicated “Bob & Tom” radio show, where he has been a featured contributor for over a decade.  His funny songs have been showcased on Sirius XM radio, the “Dr. Demento” radio show, and BBC Radio 4.  He’s even been heard on Continental Airlines—at no additional fee (we’re pretty sure). From AAA to Xerox, from Bayer to Weyerhaeuser, they all have laughed at Tim Cavanagh.  Tim’s comedy mission is simple—finding what’s funny in your business.  And then you’ll be laughing at him, too!
