On April 12, sixty-two industry leaders and professionals turned out for a FaBtalent Best Practice Session hosted by our Talent Committee. They came to learn how Campbell’s Soup’s Milwaukee flavor operations (celebrating 50 years in Milwaukee) is using the operational model of “high performing organizations,” aka HPOs, to attract and retain talent – and impact their bottom-line.

Sharing their HPO journey were Safety & HR Generalist Rachel Matthews and Business Leader Allen Pavlovich.

And they were joined by two employees, Greg Hunt and Ed Taulman

With employment around 50, the Campbell’s Milwaukee Operation’s HPO efforts resonated with FaB members both large and small companies. Their PowerPoint presentation offers a great chronicle of their journey and some key takeaways, including their 100% MKE Wisconsin branding of their high performance goals and efforts.
The 100% is a reference to their goals for 100% safety (zero injuries), 100% quality (zero customer complaints), 100% growth (20M lbs by 2020), 100% schedule compliance, 100% elimination of scrapped batches), and 100% leadership...100% doing it right the first time.

"Great event today. Enjoyed Rachel and Allen. Their employee engagement practices are very applicable to even a small organization. Glad we came. Thank you for organizing. You all are making an impact and adding value.”
