Key Takeaways from this Forum:

Don’t wait until the Administration releases the new guidance. Review your current COVID-19 policies and consider how they may change, dependent on the mandate. Schedule town halls and employee meetings to hear from your employees.

Employers should consider software to track vaccine status and COVID testing status. Many of the current HRIS systems have capabilities (ADP, Oracle, Workday). Vaccine information should be treated confidentially and separately filed from an employee record, similar to medical records.

For attraction and retention efforts, talk with your employees. Having conversations with them to seek their input to a scheduling issue will more than likely keep them engaged. For example, if you are having issues with hiring enough people, ask your employees if switching shifts or working different shifts would be helpful while you continue to hire.

Everyone is desperate for talent and concerned how the administration’s vaccine mandate will affect hiring and retention. Join us on October 27 for an informative Talent Forum session where we'll discuss how your company can comply with the new vaccine mandate while still attracting and retaining talent.

Brenna Ratajczyk, Recruitment Manager from SITE Staffing, will share some ingenious recruitment strategies companies are using to survive the talent shortage the food and beverage industry is facing.

Scott Allen, Senior Counsel at Foley & Lardner LLP,  will also be providing the most up-to-date information on the OSHA vaccine mandate, including what's required for federal contractors and subcontractors, and will offer suggestions for companies to ensure they are following the mandates without sacrificing their attraction and retention policies.
