Conagra Plans $78M Expansion of Wisconsin Plant

Wednesday, February 20, 2019   (0 Comments)
American food company Conagra Brands is planning a $78 million upgrade at the Birds Eye cold storage and vegetable packaging plant in Beaver Dam, WI that will add about 140 new positions to the facility’s staff, a press release by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) announced Monday.

The company said it intends to modernize and add space to the existing 350,000-sq-ft facility.

During the next five years, Conagra is slated to receive $750,000 in tax credits, though this figure may vary based on the number of jobs the company creates and its level of investments during the period.

WEDC’s release did not specify when the project is expected to reach completion.

Conagra took ownership of the Beaver Dam facility as part of its 2018 acquisition of Pinnacle Foods, which included the Birds Eye brand.
