Member Onboarding

Welcome to FaB Wisconsin. If you have any questions regarding member onboarding or membership in general, please contact Val Ratz, FaB’s Membership & Marketing Manager, at vratz@fabwisconsin.com.

Please follow through on these five action items to position your company and team for a value-driven membership. Each section of your onboarding was developed around some of the most frequently asked questions we receive regarding membership.

ACTION #1: COMPLETE & MAINTAIN YOUR FaB COMPANY PROFILE

"I’ve noticed that our company profile isn’t current. Who's maintaining it?”

Your company profile is the responsibility of your company’s identified Profile Coordinator. As an employee, we’re happy to share with you who that individual is. Simply email Val with your request.

Company onboarding starts with the completion of your company profile which appears in our searchable Member Directory

SIGNING IN
To access your company profile, your Profile Coordinator will use the temporary username and password provided in their welcome email.

With your username and password, sign into your account here, or from any page of the FaB website.

Once you are logged in, you may change your username and/or password and maintain your profile information as needed. Your company profile is also where you give permission to identified employees who will have access to posting and managing any positions you many have on the Job Board. (See below for more information on the Job Board.)

PLEASE NOTE: FaB does not currently use the Invoicing, Payment & History functionality found in your member dashboard. All invoices, payments, and event registrations will be communicated to you separately via email.

ACTION #2: SIGN UP TO RECEIVE FAB COMMUNICATIONS

"How do I learn about FaB’s ongoing activity and its members?”

With 230+ members, over a dozen annual events, and five strategic services, you can bet that we’ve got a lot going on. To make it easy to digest (and forward on), we feed it to you in bite size pieces.

THE FaBFEED
Our main method of communication is the FaBfeed, our e-newsletter communicating key FaB activities from behind-the-scenes, our events, and strategic initiatives.

We encourage anyone from your company to sign up here or from the homepage of our site. And if your employees see that your company is a member of FaB, this is their vehicle to join us for free under your company membership.

To best position your company to take advantage of FaB and our strategic areas of focus, we highly recommend these individuals in particular sign up to receive personal invites to events, briefings, features, and forums:

  • C-suite, owners, founders, and general managers
  • Quality, food safety, and regulatory professionals
  • Human resource professionals, including your recruiters
  • Those on the forefront, keeping your company innovative and growing

LINKEDIN
We also communicate daily via LinkedIn. Our LinkedIn page is a daily stream of FaB’s activities and industry facts, and most often is featuring our member companies and their accomplishments. Encourage your colleagues to follow and mention us.

ACTION #3: GET TO KNOW US & SPREAD THE WORD

"I hadn’t heard about FaB or that my company was a member!”

Help us get the word out. As you’ve taken the action to join, we ask you to take it a few steps further to maximize your investment – let your people know. Here are four easy means:

1. Post your member window decal and request additional decals if needed for multiple facilities or offices. We send them out to you upon receiving your membership or renewal payment.

2. Post and link our logo or FaB Made in Wisconsin badge to your affiliates or memberships page on your website.

3. Send us a copy of your press release (in fact, all of your press releases) for posting to our
Industry News.

4. Leverage our About FaB video, FaB info sheet, or FaB Made Easy when communicating internally that your company is a member of FaB.

ACTION #4: DETERMINE IF YOU WILL USE THE FaB JOB BOARD & WHO WILL MANAGE YOUR POSTINGS

"I see FaB has a job board. How does my company use this benefit?"

With top talent considered a top ticket, members are seeing value in our dedicated industry job board that will only grow in its usefulness as more and more members take advantage of it.

Only FaB members can post jobs to our industry job board, while anyone visiting our site can view your postings to maximize your visibility. If your company would like to access this member benefit, your Profile Coordinator currently has permission to do so.

DESIGNATING YOUR JOB BOARD COORDINATOR(S)
If you want someone other than your Profile Coordinator to be given "permission” to post jobs on behalf of your company, you can email Val at any time to add them to your list of authorized Job Board Coordinators. We will send these individuals separate instructions to give them access. If you’re wondering who your employer’s Job Board Coordinator(s) is, simply email Val with your request.

Your Profile or Job Board Coordinator(s) can access and maintain your posting by signing in with their username and password. Job Board access can be found within the Networking & Careers section of your member dashboard.

ACTION #5: SEEK ENGAGEMENT

"How can I (we) get more involved?

This question is music to our ears and we offer a variety of opportunities that skew to our food and beverage companies and sponsors.

Direct notice of our engagement activities and opportunities are communicated via the FaBfeed or through personal invitations. Be sure you are encouraging your colleagues, team members, and associates to sign up today.
