NUTKRACK NEEDS A PRODUCTION MANAGER!

Nutkrack, our family-run candied pecan company, retail shop, and e-commerce juggernaut on Atwood Avenue in Madison needs you!We are hiring a Production Manager.  The job title is the simplest part of this position, the rest is a lot more interesting. Nutkrack makes the world's best candied pecans, and we are searching for people who want more than just a normal job.

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week. Available shifts run Monday through Saturday, with varying start and end times. We will work with the right candidate to build a schedule based on their availability and that of existing staff.Pay is based on relevant experience, with a 90-day performance and raise review and yearly merit-based raises available. We pay PTO and soon other benefits.

Things You Will Do:

  • Make and package amazing candied pecans for thousands of people all over the world.
  • Help build a small start-up into a national brand.
  • Join our team in creating a positive workplace culture that is fulfilling and challenging for you and everyone else here.
  • Come up with ideas we have never thought of, and shepherd them to life!
  • Direct and lead our A+ production team, by word and deed, in constant process improvement in pursuit of maximum efficiency!
  • Work with Operations, Sales and Marketing, and Shipping/Fulfillment to spread the Pecan Love further than ever before.
  • Help us create a safety, compliance, and documentation system that will withstand the scrutiny of applicable regulatory bodies.
  • Help us design and build a new, giant nut factory here in Madison in 2022-23.
  • Get PTO on day 1 and eventually other benefits, like health insurance and lots of nuts. So many nuts.
  • Love this job and working with the driven, capable staff we already have.

  • Listen to crappy music in the kitchen.
  • Think this is easy.

Skills You Need:

  • Lift heavy things, up to and over 50 pounds.
  • Basic, and soon more complicated, math.
  • Positive outlook and willingness to communicate with a diverse and opinionated team.
  • FOOD PRODUCTION AND KITCHEN EXPERIENCE, THE MORE THE BETTER.
  • Reliability. You need to WANT to come to work, every day, every month, every year.
  • Working and being clean.
  • Focus on the details AND the big picture.
