A minimum of an Associate’s degree is required, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resource Management preferred, or a combination of relevant training and work experience.

Performs all aspects of the recruiting function for the company, including development of effective recruiting sources, job posting, pre-screening, interviewing, testing, background and reference checking to recruit and hire qualified personnel.

Provides backup assistance to the other HR staff members.

Supports the safety, food safety, quality, SQF, GMP and USDA-FSIS programs and requirements.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Recruit, interview and screen to present qualified candidates.
  • Develop effective applicant sources by researching community services, colleges, technical schools, employment agencies, recruiters, and Internet sites.
  • Continuously explore alternative staffing, sourcing and selection techniques and strategies to align with industry best practices to support effective hiring and partner retention.
  • Develop a strategy for effective utilization of social media for recruiting & implement the plan.
  • Data mine multiple Internet resume databases for possible candidates.
  • Develop effective job postings and recruitment material; post positions in a timely manner and update as necessary.
