![]() ![]() This was our Fifth Annual Meeting and we celebrated sweet success, sharing our accomplishments and highlighting our members who make it all happen. The cherry on top was our keynote speaker, Rick LaBerge, Chief Operating Officer of HARIBO of America, Inc., who shared how they’re innovating Sweet Success right here in Wisconsin.
We also featured a lineup of FaB members to share FaB’s Top Five Accomplishments to date and a look into what our next five years could look like.
And attendees didn’t expect dessert with their lunch — that was our sweet twist afterwards. We’re not telling beer, brats, and cheese to move over, but to make room for our sweets! The Fifth Annual Meeting experience was extended at our SWEET SUITES as we raised funds for our host, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. 375 industry professionals joined us on November 7 and felt like a kid again. Mit freundlichen Grüßen (Best regards)! ABOUT HARIBOFounded in 1920 and based in Bonn, Germany, HARIBO is the world market leader in the fruit gum and licorice segment, with 100 million Gold-Bears alone produced daily worldwide. With its America’s HQ in Chicago, the family-owned, third-generation company employs nearly 7,000 people globally.
In March 2017, HARIBO announced its plans to build their first North American manufacturing facility in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Their iconic Gummies will be made in the U.S.A in what will be one of the largest, most sophisticated facilities in the confectionery industry and is expected to create 400 new jobs.
